Cleaning your HDPE cabinets
Our outdoor cabinets are the closest thing to maintenance free that you will find. When your cabinets get dirty from normal every day use, the best thing you can do is simply hose them down with water. After hosing them down you can wipe dry with any towel, no need to be gentle as this will not scratch the material.
Cleaning and maintaining stainless steel handles and cabinet hardware
Unlike the cabinet material itself, stainless steel handles and cabinet hardware do need some care to be kept looking brand new and shiny. The 304 stainless steel slow close door hinges and drawer sliders are inside the cabinet so will not be exposed to the elements as much as the handles are which are located on the exterior of the cabinetry. We recommend wiping 304 stainless steel handles with wd-40, barkeepers friend or a stainless steel cleaner at least once a month. The inside hardware can be wiped down every 3-6 months depending on your outdoor conditions. If you see any sign of rust starting to form on your 304 stainless steel handles, make sure to wipe them down right away with some wd-40. For more stubborn rust stains, we recommend brite-worx polish solution and a microfiber cloth.
Cleaning and Maintaining Stainless Steel Outdoor Appliances
In order to keep your stainless steel appliances looking nice and new, they do require regular cleaning and care. For regular maintenance, we highly recommend using WD-40 on a microfiber cloth to keep the stainless steel clean and lubricated to protect against rust. Do not use WD-40 or other stainless steel cleaning supplies on cooking grates and plates or any surface that food is placed on. For stubborn rust stains, use brite-worx polish cleaner and follow the directions on the bottle.
The use of grill covers will not prevent rust from forming and can in fact cause more rust to form as it will trap moisture inside the cover.
